When prepping for a game day, make sure you are putting in 100% effort on and off of the field. You can prep a ton on the field but you also need to study game film. Know your opponent inside and out.

You should be watching hours, not minutes of game film. The game film provided to you is a blueprint of your opponent and can help you on the little details when it comes to game time. You need to be watching for how the defense flows, their tendencies, how their offense works, if they have any tells(hints on plays they are running), and any little detail that can give you the edge on gameday.
The sooner you learn how to study game film and utilize it, the better off you will be in the future. Being able to study game film will put you ahead of other players on the field, either in high school or in college. You and the opponent could be evenly matched by skill, but if one of you studies and the other doesn't the favor goes to the work in the film room.
A football game is about who can gain the little edge to overtake their opponent. If you study hard film room, work hard on the practice field, and give 100% effort on every play then you will come out victorious!
Never stop working! Remember, hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard!
