I know I have said this a million times and I will continue to say this because recruits continue to do this wrong. When setting up your social media platform to share your highlights, make sure that your profile is open for public viewing and your messages are open so everyone can message you!

I can't tell you how many recruits I have seen get passed up on because a coach can not contact them. You want everything on your social media to be easy to find and your inbox readily available for them to contact you. Obviously with an open profile you will run into scams and people that do not want to help you move forward. Use common sense and if it is too good to be true, then it probably is. But do not be the recruit getting passed up because you did not have your profile set up correctly.
While talking about your social media profile, make sure that your highlights are up to date and set at the top of your feed. Coaches do not want to search through your feed to find your highlights. They will just move on to the next recruit and watch theirs. Take the time to set these things up and make it easy on yourself.
Once you have done those things, it is time to follow coaches and begin building relationships. Our next blog we will go into more depth about building relationships with coaches(the do's and the do not's).
As always, DeBree here with your recruiting tips!
